DKNG – Gig posters & process video

DKNG, the design firm of Dan Kuhlken of Nathan Goldman, have been making amazing gig posters and band identities together since 2005, and their recent creation for Explosions in the Sky‘s Minneapolis show is no exception, and it comes with a great behind the scenes making-of video. We’ve seen tons of images and videos of how posters are printed, but very few that cover the design/illustration process, and DKNG’s work for EITS’s poster is not only beautiful but evidently incredibly laborious. I love how the video takes us from pencil sketch all way through to the final product, showing painstaking illustrator and photoshop work. It’s a really great way to remind their fans of all the work that goes into making just one poster to announce one show.
