Lana Del Rey – “Blue Jeans” music video

Love her or hate her, Lana Del Rey‘s recent videos have been expertly produced, creating a sustained vibe of aloof coolness. “Blue Jeans” is the best yet, and no surprise, it’s directed by the highly creative Yoann Lemoine. I first noticed Yoann’s work on the brilliant and stark “Iron” video from Woodkid released early last year. “Blue Jeans” is a much more romantic affair bathed (literally) in shimmering water and underwater shots. It reminds me alot of the sepia drenched videos of the early 90′s from the late Herb Ritts, like Madonna’s “Cherish” or Janet’s “Love Will Never Do Without Do“, only updated and more dramatic.
