CFCF – “Exercises” album

I’ve spent a good portion of the evening with the new CFCF “album” Exercises, and I have to say, it’s a remarkable collection of restrained yet expansive mood pieces. “Album” might not be the best word to describe this set of “exercises” as many of the tracks, built with similar arrangements of synths and piano, meander and drift, but always in beautiful ways. Take a listen and watch the fan made video above for one of the standout pieces (Buildings) to get a good taste of what you can expect from the rest of the set. I love the piano progressions and synth arpeggios as electronic ribbons unfold and wax and wane. This isn’t a collection for everyone, but it sets a lovely, peaceful tone I am sure many creatives will find inspiring.
