These portraits of icebergs by Camile Seaman are absolutely breathtaking. And the term “portrait” (used by the NYT) is so appropriate…the images give the feeling that these huge, hulking masses have personalities and wisdom. I love the way they appear isolated from other land masses, floating through an open ocean. The first photograph in particular struck me as my mind associated it with some pertrified whale breaking the surface for it’s last breath.
