Pascal Felloneau’s tortured ‘Candidates’

During the most recent French Presidential election photographer Pascal Fellonneau shot a striking collection of mangled, weathered and destroyed campaign posters in and around Paris. The results are beautifully abstract portraits of the figures, and to me they exhibit expressions of rage or discontent by their opposition. These images and more are assembled in his great new book, Candidates.
